Marlene Rose Wiebe

Marlene Rose Wiebe, age 63 years, of Altona, MB, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Eastview Place in Altona.

She is survived by 2 brothers, John (Virgina) Wiebe, and Ronn Wiebe.

She was predeceased by her parents and 1 brother.

Marlene Wiebe – 35 years at Blue Sky.

Not very many people can say that they’ve worked at the same place for 35 years and Marlene, you did it! When Marlene’s goal was to work in the community, she was the one to ask what she needed to do to succeed and because of her hard work, she spent 9 years working at Red River Insurance whenever they needed help with shredding. Over the years, she’s been on crews that worked at Friesen’s, did all the different jobs on the Life Skills Team and there were no jobs she couldn’t do in the workroom, even though some weren’t always her favorite.  She always lit up the room with her infectious laugh, her “dance like no one is watching” moves and wardrobe, especially on her “sunshine yellow” clothing days. She also always kept everyone on their toes, especially if they weren’t at work, church or wherever Marlene thought they should be. It wasn’t uncommon to get the third degree from Miss Marlene if you’d been missed. Congratulations on 35 years at Blue Sky.
