Marie-Laure was the eldest daughter of Edmond and Laura (Dionne) Delorme. Born, raised, educated, married and raised a family of seven in St. Joseph. It broke Mom and Dad’s hearts when the time came to leave the house they built to move to the Chalet Malouin, St. Malo in 2003. Mom is the co-founder of the St. Joseph Museum, having its early beginnings back in 1952. She was also co-recipient of “Le Prix Riel” with her husband in the Heritage category honouring their outstanding involvement in their community. But the most important role to her was wife, mother and homemaker. She instilled in her children the importance of family, encouraging as many reunions as possible, her favorite being Christmas.
Mom was also kept very busy as a very talented seamstress for the town and surrounding area, providing alterations, hemming and sewing everything from coats, dresses, grad and bridesmaids gowns. She very much enjoyed her gardening, playing music for the St. Joseph Catholic Church, camping and travelling. Mom will forever be in our hearts.
