Following a full and lengthy life we announce the passing of Lilia at the Emerson Personal Care Home in Emerson, MB, at the age of 101 years.
Left to Cherish her memory is her daughter Darlene Olaiya, Son-in-Law Murray (Susan) Day, Grandchildren: Sabrina Robert (Mark), Nina Freeman, Deleah (Jared) Kukelko & Duncan Day, Great Grandchildren: Dylon, Tyrell, Jerry (Jessica), Derek, Adrian, & Evan
She was predeceased by her husband William in 1994, daughter Bonnie in 1978, her parents August & Carolina Casper, brothers Frank, Arthur, Henry, Theodore and sisters Elsie & Mabel.
Lilia was born, raised and lived most of her life in the “Flats” Friedensthal and Emerson Area.
She married William in 1936, together they raised their daughters, Darlene and Bonnie.
She was a long time member of the LCW, and was a 4-H Leader for many years. She loved gardening, curling and playing cards and her biggest passion was being surrounded by her family and watching her grand and great grandchildren grow.
A memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Emerson, MB on August 5, 2015 at 2:00pm.
The family wishes to extend a Special Huge Thank You to the staff of the Emerson Personal Care home for their compassionate care over the past years!
Should family or friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your own choice.
