Katharina Peters (nee Wall)
Katharina Peters (nee Wall), age 80 years of Altona, formerly of Blumenort South and Gretna, MB, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.
She is survived by her children Susan (Ike) Peters, Lisa (Neil) Sawatzky, Trudy (Bill) Janzen, John (Peg) Peters, Tina (Abe) Bueckert, Mary Link (Peter Giesbrecht), Agatha (Joey) Wiebe, Jake (Helen) Peters, Cornie (Susie) Peters, Sarah (John) Bueckert, Annie (Cameron) Hildebrand, and Ponch (Linda) Peters, as well as 30 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 sister. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Peters, 4 siblings, daughter-in-law Becky Peters, son-in-law Karl Link, grandson-in-law Neil Johnson, and grandson Christopher Sawatzky.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the German Old Colony Mennonite Church, Hochfeld with interment at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Thursday, March 21 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
Donations in memory of Katharina may be made to The Gardens on Tenth, Altona.
