Johan Sawatzky

Johan Sawatzky, age 68 years, of Rosenfeld, formerly of Mexico passed away suddenly on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Altona Memorial Health Centre.

He is survived by his children Tina (Henry) Zacharias, Helena (Abe) Loewen, Anna (Martin) Loewen, Eva (Neil) Peters, Erma (Paul) Giesbrecht, Ben (Tina) Sawatzky, and Andres (Maria) Sawatzky, as well as 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He was recently predeceased by his wife Helena Sawatzky (nee Loewen).

A Reinland Mennonite Church funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church in Altona, Manitoba with burial to follow at the Schoenthal Cemetery.  Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and at the church prior to the service.
