Jean Ann Pow

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Jean passed away at Boundary Trails Health Centre, on October 21, 2015, at the age of 86.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) and her sister Joan Procter. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joanne (Gordon), Roberta (Arnold) and Cristie (Paul); grandchildren, Scott, Tara (Todd), Todd (Blaire), Chera (Kristin), Carmen, Allison (Kristopher), Melanie (Ian) and Mandy (Ryan), as well as several great-grandchildren.

Born on May 11, 1929 to Walter and Elizabeth Wood, Jean was raised and attended school in Emerson, MB. She married Robert (Bob) Pow of Emerson on August 2, 1950. They spent many years farming together in the Emerson area. Mom was an excellent cook and we have fond memories of tailgate meals enjoyed in the field during harvest time. Mom had a unique spirit which endeared her to many. As a family, we benefited from her knowledge and generosity, her love of nature, her sense of adventure, her love of the arts, and her creative talents. Mom enjoyed living in the country, gardening, travelling, reading and animals, especially her beloved cats.

As per Jean's wishes, no service will be held.
