With family at her side, Helen Wiebe, 82, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
She is survived by her husband Wes, her children Douglas Wonnick (Paulette Boucher), Donna Wonnick (Clay Cracklen), as well as her step sons Howard (Lisa), Richard (Eleanor) and Jerrold (Jeannette) and seven step-grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her sisters Tina and Elizabeth and her brother Ike, along with several loved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Susana Wall, her husbands Erwin Wonnick and John P. Dick, as well as her siblings Sue Giesbrecht, Kathy Emerson, Jake, John, Abe, Bill, Nick and Pete.
Helen was baptized into the Sommerfeld church in her younger years and continued her faith throughout her life.
She was a business owner in the Altona community for many years prior to her retirement and always had a quick smile and a warm hello for all of her customers. It was her warmth and humour that made her a cherished part of the community.
Helen's biggest joy was travelling. She and Wes spent many winters in Arizona and summers travelling to different parts of the country in their motor home.
All that knew her, knew her to be an incredibly loving, caring and giving person. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Altona E. M. M. Church. Interment took place prior to the service at the Southside Cemetery, Morden, MB.
The family would like to thank the caring medical staff at the Health Science Centre and the Altona Community Health Centre for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to your charity of choice is appreciated.
