Helen Hoeppner

On May 11th, 2016, Helen Hoeppner, 97, went to join her Lord and Saviour, as well as many loved ones in Heaven.  Her faith in a loving Heavenly Father saw her through many joys and sorrows. 

Helen(a) Hoeppner, nee Klippenstein, was born on April 17th, 1919, to Peter H. & Maria Klippenstein of Altbergthal.  She married John Hoeppner of Hochstadt on July 17th, 1941.  The couple lived in the Altona area for all their 57 ½ years together.  They raised four children. Helen was a devoted wife and mother and provided day care for a number of young children, whom she loved as her own.  Her special attention and care of our disabled brother was an example of selfless devotion.  She valued life and showed us a true Christian example of love in action.

She was predeceased by her parents Peter H. & Maria Klippenstein, 1 brother in infancy, 6 brothers and their wives, 2 sisters in infancy, and 3 sisters and their husbands; her husband John Hoeppner; one daughter Magdeline, sons John (Jack), Robert, and Peter.

Helen is survived by 1 daughter-in-law, 2 daughters and their families:  Marilyn Hoeppner, son Grant (Astrida) Hoeppner, daughter Colleen (Kendra & Mackenzie); Luella (Marvin) Roth, sons Jeff Roth, Ryan (Belinda) Roth (Charlotte, Edward, Wynara, Saxon), and daughter Marcia Roth; Ruth (Ed) Siemens sons Dustin Siemens and fiancee Jenna Thygeson; Darren (Julia) Siemens (Zoe, Josiah); Dallas (Cora) Siemens (Sophia);  and daughter Carla Siemens.

The family wishes to thank the many people who invested in Helen’s life. Her many friends and family, the people of E.M.M.Church, the wonderful staff at The Gardens on 10th, Altona Memorial Health Center staff, and Dr. Beuddefeld, Wiebe’s Funeral Home.  Thanks too for all who made visits, brought food, flowers, cards and well wishes.
