It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Glen Robinson, age 70, of Altona. He is survived by his wife, Tan, son Todd (Erika), granddaughters Ella and Olivia, sisters Debbie (John), and Lisa (John). He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Reta and brother Roy.
Before beginning his policing career, Glen briefly served from 1972 to 1976 as a Military Storesman at Canadian Forces Base Shilo. Wanting to stay near family, he joined the Brandon Police Service in April of 1976 and remained there until retiring as a Sergeant in February of 1991. Seeking new challenges, Glen then relocated to the town of Altona where he served as Police Chief until he retired (again) in 2010. Never one to rest long, his next 12 years were filled with a variety of employment opportunities in the community, including working the Lumber Desk at Sun Valley Coop which he loved dearly.
A private family service will take place at a later date. The family is requesting that donations in memory of Glen may be made to the Pembina Valley Humane Society.
