Bernhard "Ben" F. Penner

Ben F. Penner, age 79 years of Altona, Manitoba, formerly of Ontario, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Eastview Place.

He is survived by his wife Helen Penner (nee Zacharias), their children Maria (Peter) Sawatzky, Ed (Agatha) Penner, Bertha (Peter) Sawatzky, Frank (Lisa) Penner, Hilda (Abe) Unrau, John Penner, Anna (Frank) Peters, Jake (Barb) Penner, as well as 31 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.  He was predeceased by one son David Penner, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with burial at the Froese Family Cemetery.  Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Friday, July 8, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday, July 9 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and at the church prior to the service.
