Abe A. Peters

Abe Peters, age 76 years of Altona, formerly of Rudnerweide, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Peters (nee Stoesz), their children Glenda Peters (Ian Orr), Jeff (Susan) Peters, Cindy Peters (Marc Lafreniere), and Kim (Mike) Sawatzky, as well as 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 7 sisters.  He was predeceased by 1 brother, 2 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, and 1 nephew.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Bergthaler Mennonite Church, with burial at the Altona Cemetery.  Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Tuesday, July 18, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, July 19, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Abe Peters may be made to Boundary Trails Health Centre - Palliative Care, or to Altona MCC.
